From Microsoft Watch: Our prediction: The next big buzzword out of Redmond is going to be 'smart client.' And Office 2003 is going to be billed as the smartest of them all. Microsoft also is teaming with some independent software vendors — like Siebel Systems — to make their apps 'smarter,' too. But the real question is whether 'smart clients' are merely 'fat clients' revisited. |
