No Flak Jacket Required
|
In other news from the Microsoft booth at LinuxWorld, Microsoft's Linux point man, Martin Taylor, made himself available for an open question-and-answer session with show attendees on Thursday morning. Taylor appeared wearing a flak jacket, which he quickly shed despite a (very short) bit of heckling from the otherwise respectful crowd. Taylor responded to all kinds of queries, ranging from whether customers could use Linux as a leverage in software price discussions with Microsoft (he said no), to whether Microsoft's shared source licensing mechanism could potentially contaminate open source developers (to which he also said no). |
