Longhorn Alpha Build Loose on the Web



Microsoft had been expected to deliver its first true alpha build at the Windows Hardware Engineering (WinHEC) conference next week. But those ever-resourceful folks over at Neowin seem to have unearthed a copy of Build 4074 a few days early. There's a new "Jade" theme to complement the "Slate" theme that was part of the Longhorn pre-alpha build that Microsoft distributed at the Professional Developers Conference (PDC) last fall. And Neowin snagged the 4074 ReadMe notes, to boot.
