MSDN product manager Chris Sells has some particulars on what to expect in the Longhorn build that is being distributed at WinHEC this week. It's known internally as "Longhorn Build M7.2 (Milestone 7.2). In this build, "the big deal is the addition of 3D support in Avalon, including declarative support in XAML. There are better things coming in 3D (as there are in the whole of Longhorn), but this is the initial set of functionality," Sells says. He also notes that MSDN Universal subscribers will get the build "real soon now."
