Longhorn Infocards: Full Steam Ahead



Everyone seems to be getting awfully excited as of late about infocards, the ID management technology for which Microsoft is building support into Longhorn. Infocards aren't new; Microsoft officials talked about the Windows team's plans for infocards in the fall of 2004. There's a diagram of the infocard architecture here, if you're interested. Expect infocard support to be part of WinFX, the successor to the Win32 programming model at the heart of Longhorn.
