Get Ready for XP Starter, Brazilian Edition

From Microsoft Watch: Microsoft isn't conceding the Brazilian market to Linux and open source. Nope, the Redmondians are ready for a fight. Microsoft has finalized ts next Windows XP Starter Edition release — a stripped-down, cheap Windows operating system version — for the Brazilian market, we hear. Once the Brazilian XP Starter release is announced, which we expect to be very soon, Microsoft will have brought to six the total of countries in which it is offering such a product.

I do tech support in the US for a living and have been hearing from our Brazilian Customers that their October Calendar is showing two Oct 11ths, Sat Oct 11 and Sunday Oct 11, which in turn messes up the rest of the calendar. We know that it is not our product because if we view their website from our location in the US the calendar is fine. However, seeing print screens and performing remote sessions with the customer, has proven to me that "in Brazil" the calendar is wrong. We believe that it may be a Brazilian XP issue or something along those lines. However, again, if we download the Brazilian version of XP in the US the calendar is correct. Has anyone seen or heard of this problem? I know that there is an apple blog out there experiencing the problem with their phones, and this morning, I received a second complaint from another Brazilian customer today...Any information would be greatly appreciated!
