As Microsoft continues to crank the hype-o-meter for Office 12, the eWEEK Labs team reminds folks that there are other viable (and cheaper) alternatives to Microsoft Office out there. There's OpenOffice, which after some last-minute showstoppers, finally hit the 2.0 mark. And Gnome, KDE, ThinkFree and Corel all offer products that IT managers would do well to consider.
