Would You Like a Bot With Your MSN?

Rather than following AOL's approach of foisting new bots on AIM users, the MSN Messenger folks seem to be taking the kinder, gentler approach. Softie Mark Deakin mentions two new bots that MSN Messenger users can add to their contact list: An Encarta answer bot and a BBC TV listing bot. The bots will return answers to questions posed over instant messaging, and (in Encarta's case, at least) offer pointers when they can't find the exact answers. |
