After months of downplaying customer interest in an online CRM offering, a la Salesforce.com, Microsoft on July 11 announced plans to field exactly such a service. At its Worldwide Partner Conference in Boston on Tuesday, Microsoft rolled out its Dynamics CRM Live plans. Microsoft is planning to roll out the new service in North America in the second quarter of 2007; channel partners will get early access to the code in the latter half of 2006. The service will be available for a monthly subscription fee, which Microsoft has yet to unveil.
