Bill Gates' Last Day at Microsoft

During last night's Consumer Electronics Keynote, Microsoft played a spoof video of Chairman Gates last day. It's a fun seven minutes to waste on a morning.

Gates steps down at the end of June, as he changes role from monopolist to philanthropist.

Gates' CES keynote, his eighth consecutive one, is supposed to be his last.

    Lawrence D'Oliveiro :

Such a humble man. You would hardly know he hob-nobs in high society, he barely name-drops at all.

    pffff :

Whoever wouldn't miss Bill Gates in IT has no heart.
Whoever would want him back in IT has no brain.

Same goes for the company itself.

    Maddog :

    Good riddance!

    Andrew :

Thanks to give us Kill Rates and Mocksoft. It's fun!

People work hard in life, they work day and night to make a living, to make money, they also work because for most people, they love what they do. Mr Gates did so for decades, I don't know if it's because he made enough money to retire, but what does someone work to achieve when he has everything, when he has achieved so much and pretty much revolutionized the way we work.

Hats off to Mr Bill Gates, well done and go have fun now :P (as if he'll end up reading this hehe)

Well, a man who can laugh at himself, show great humility, a great philanthropist, and not be bigger than Ben Hur in his $ situation (as just about 99.9% of the human population would have) has my deepest respect, irrespective of whether I like microsoft or not. Well done to him, and may he help humankind through the good luck and hard work he has endured all his life!

Bill, you have transitioned and adapted as well as Microsoft has over all these years. Congratulations and God speed in your humanity endeavors.

Well done Bill. You were one smart kid who followed his heart & accomplished things that many can't do in a life time. Wish you well & am sure your dedication & humane nature helps many more in the coming years.
As is you have done plenty revolutionizing the way we use computers & the software world itself. The simplicity of DOS & Windows made most of graduates & non graduates alike feel comfortable working on new technology. Your products mirror the simplicity that you embrace.

Best wishes in your new role beyond MS.
