Microsoft's press release about a teleconference today is cryptic, but the URL is telling. Maybe those rumors of a Tellme acquisition are true. |
The teleconference is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. EDT, where, according to the press release, "executives will share news and answer questions." But the release doesn't say about what. The URL, however, contains "PowerOfSpeech," which might just hint at what's coming.
Yesterday, there was blog and news buzz that Microsoft was close to acquiring Tellme Networks, a provider of voice recognition and interactive voice communication technologies.
Anyone using phone response systems from Cingular, Dominos or FedEx would have used Tellme technologies. The company claims that 40 million people use its technology each month.
Tellme would add to Microsoft's stable of voice products. The company is pushing a "unified communications" strategy centered around its Office and Live Communications products.
Assuming there is an acquisition, Microsoft also would gain valuable customer relationships for advancing its broader communications strategy.

Guess what you have to pay. I have no spyware in my P C ,all I want is to get rid of the flashing icon.I have tried to no avail.
Someone please tell me how to get rid of it without having to pay for the privlidge to do so.
