I was able to download Beta 2. That's not the problem.The problem is that in this build there are no generic drivers for my 3COM 3C996B network card. This is a very common card, and it has been around now for over five years!I don't understand why it won't work now - it worked fine in earlier releases of Longhorn and Vista. To make things worse, I am unable to find a driver for it anywhere on the Internet. Even 3Com doesn't have one.As a result, I am forced to not use Vista beta 2. Without network connectivity, it just doesn't make sense to try to use it.I think that Microsoft should put a focus on NIC drivers for their Vista releases. Not doing so causes people like me to "trash" otherwise "good?" beta software.Joey PowellSoftware Engineer SrLockheed Martin
