'Origami' Devices to Get Music Player Siblings

It sounds like Microsoft has another new small form-factor device in the wings. There's a Microsoft music player/portable game player device, code named "XPlayer," that the company is rumored to be developing. The XPlayer could use Transmeta chips, folks are speculating. It's not as clear what operating system it will run, however. Microsoft definitely needs something to shore up the forthcoming Origami mini-Tablet systems; analysts are giving the recently unveiled ultramobile PCs (UMPCs) a thumbs down.
