Microsoft officials say they are planning to release the Windows Media Player 11 version for Windows XP in June. The more-feature-rich WMP 11 player won't be released until Vista ships, however, as it will be baked into the operating system. Update: We asked Microsoft about the June date. The response from a company spokesman: "Our plans haven't changed from CES, (when we said WMP 11 for XP was due in) the first half of 2006. Nothing new."
