Over on the Hotfix.Net site are some new features and due dates for Windows Media Player 11, the next version of Microsoft's audio/video player that will be available for XP and be baked into Windows Vista. Allegedly, Microsoft is ready to release a "public preview" beta of WMP11 for XP on May 17. The final code is slated to arrive by the end of June for XP and for Vista in early 2007.

With MS bending over for the motion picture industry and adding a ton of half baked DRM into the media player and file standard the existing version rearly works. I can just guess how many of my video clips will fail to run now. Time to dump this dog. They can bake whatever junk they want into VISTA its gonna skink like a rock anyway ( how many gig's of memmory will you need to play video on vista?)!
