Another Security-Alert Service On Tap From Microsoft
|
Next Tuesday, Microsoft is set to unveil a new security-alert service that will supplement its regularly scheduled monthly security bulletins. The security-advisories service is designed to alert customers to new security-flaw information in a more timely manner. When gray-hat hackers and private research outfits publish new security-related information, Microsoft will use the service to let customers know. Speaking of security, Microsoft is expected to issue one new security bulletin next week regarding a number of new "important" (but not "critical") Windows flaws that need patching. |
