Get Ready for a Windows Fall



Microsoft is planning a big fall, Windows marketing-wise. Sounds like XP SP2 and the Tablet PC "Lonestar" release will be launched in September as part of a "Protect Your PC" campaign. And a slew of other Windows products — ranging from the "Symphony" version of XP Media Center, to the new 64-bit version of Windows XP — will go live in October. That's according to Tom Button, the VP in charge of Windows product marketing, who spoke at the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) on Tuesday afternoon.
