While Microsoft execs have committed to making their forthcoming Internet Explorer (IE) 7.0 browser available for Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP 64-bit and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 users, not all of these customers will see low-rights settings turned on by default. Low-rights IE settings will be available only to users of Longhorn (and later) versions of Windows, according to a Microsoft clarification issued this week.
