Microsoft: 100,000 Copies of XP Starter Edition Sold
|
Microsoft told financial analysts at its annual Financial Analyst Meeting that the company has sold 100,000 copies of its stripped-down, cut-rate Windows XP Starter Edition product in the 22 different countries where it is now available. Microsoft is looking to Starter Edition to help continue to grow its Windows client business beyond the U.S. market, where Windows has cornered in excess of 90 percent of the desktop operating-system market. |
