Microsoft Adds Another Storage Server to Its Line-Up

Microsoft unveiled its Data Protection Server (DPS) product on Monday. Due to ship in the latter half of 2005, the new server is designed to sit between Windows-based file servers and tape libraries so as to provide for continuous change logging and replication. DPS builds on top of the Volume Shadow Copy Service interface that made its debut in Windows Server 2003. |
