Microsoft Gets Chummier With Claria

On the heels of reports last week that Microsoft was considering buying notorious adware vendor Claria comes a new (and we think, telling) development. Security researchers discovered that Microsoft Antispyware is suddenly no longer flagging Claria's adware as a threat to PC users. Sure, that isn't proof that Microsoft is going to buy the company. But it is evidence that the two are in cahoots, we'd say. |
