After months of a near-total block on any new information on Longhorn, Microsoft reopened the floodgates this week. During a cross-country press tour, Microsoft group VP of platforms Jim Allchin showed off a new build of the Longhorn desktop and gave his pitch for why Longhorn will be a lot bigger, in both functionality and positioning, than just another Windows service pack. |
