Microsoft Not Seeking OSI Approval for New Shared Source Licenses (Yet)
|
While some open-source backers were upbeat about Microsoft's streamlined Shared Source licenses, announced on Wednesday, they might have been a little too jubilant. Microsoft officials repeated that they are holding off from seeking OSI approval of its new licenses for a variety of reasons. But to us, it sounds like Microsoft is looking for some specific concessions from the OSI before it seeks formal certification. |
