Microsoft Opens Its API War Chest
|
Like eBay, Google and Amazon, Microsoft is opening up more of its programming interfaces so that developers can embed Microsoft-developed technologies into their applications. Microsoft officials said on Thursday that the company is making available to developers its MSN Search, MSN Virtual Earth and Start.com interfaces, some for a fee, and some for free. Microsoft is promising to divulge more specifics on all at next week's Professional Developers Conference (PDC). Microsoft also is set to launch Beta 1 of its "Atlas" toolkit at the PDC. |
