From Microsoft Watch: Not only is Microsoft filing patent applications like crazy, but now the company is putting forth a platform for reforming the U.S. patent system. The proposed changes are fairly wide-sweeping, potentially affecting everything from how small inventors would pay for patent applications, to the rules governing patent lawsuits. Microsoft is now looking for allies to lend backing to its patent-revision platform.
