Microsoft Readying Emergency IE Patch

Microsoft won't discuss when it plans to release an emergency fix for a new Internet Explorer (IE) hole. But it sounds like users could see a new IE security update before December 13, which is this month's Patch Tuesday. The newest exploit, recently confirmed by Microsoft, involves a drive-by malware attack that can affect even fully patched Windows XP Service Pack 2 machines. |
