Microsoft Slims Down From Seven to Three Divisions
|
We aren't usually ones to say "we told you so." But our call earlier this summer for Microsoft CEO SteveB to reorg Microsoft into three divisions looks awfully similar to what happened this week. We're not too surprised to see Group VP Jim Allchin retiring. But moving Kevin Johnson into more of a product role did catch us by surprise. Looks like Ballmer's "developer, developer, developer" chant could give way to a "services, services, services" one in the not-too-distant future. |
