Microsoft to Port WinFS to WinXP

From Microsoft Watch: First it was Indigo. Then Avalon. Now it looks like WinFS is going to get the Windows XP back-port treatment. We were wondering what was going on with WinFS, as Microsoft has been reticent to commit to a ship vehicle or ship date for its next-gen file system technology. But it sounds as if we'll hear (and maybe even see) more at the Professional Developers Conference this September. |
