From Microsoft Watch: MSN Search has operated without its own spider… until now. MSN is testing a prototype Web crawler, called the MSNBot. And Web site operators increasingly are reporting bot sightings across their sites. Microsoft will likely embed the technology in its new MSN Search engine upon which it is laboring.
