Even though Longhorn is still at least two years away, Microsoft already is soliciting feedback from beta testers on what it should name the subsystems within the product. (Seems to us like a more useful exercise might be to poll folks on what they would like Redmond to name the final Longhorn Windows release, but oh well….) For our money, Avalon, Indigo, WinFS and ClickOnce are a lot more catchy than things like "Windows Information Subsystem/Services/Management Services."
