Office Pricing: Microsoft Cries Uncle?

If it's true that all it takes to get Microsoft to recapitulate on its pricing and licensing is some tough bargaining (and a little publicity), then we can expect to see lots of customers bellying up to the bargaining table in 2004. The Israeli government is the latest Microsoft customer that seems to have wrung some pricing/licensing concessions from the Redmond software giant. At the end of last year, Israel put a halt on Microsoft Office purchases and threatened to look for alternatives, citing high Office prices as the impetus. |
