As we already reported, MSN is planning to field a private beta of its MSN Messenger 7 product next week. But as our chums over at NeoWin noted, a few of the new features that were expected to debut in release 7 might not be part of the product when it ships early next year. Specifically, the ability to blog from within an MSN Messenger IM window, as well as tighter integration with contact-management tools, aren't expected in the first beta. It remains to be seen if MSN will add these features in later betas, or if these capabilities won't debut until a future MSN Messenger release.
