The Official 'Monad' Beta 1 Is Out

We've been talking to folks beta testing the Windows scripting shell, code-named "Monad," for a couple of years now. But it seems that Microsoft is just now claiming to have released the official Beta 1 of Monad "ahead of schedule" to BetaPlace testers. As we reported recently, Monad is highly unlikely to make it into Longhorn client or server. It's more likely going to debut as part of Exchange 12 next year and be part of Longhorn Server R2 in the 2009 timeframe. |
