After being rebuffed in its request for remedy relief, what's Microsoft likely to do next? Microsoft might appeal Wednesday's decision requiring it to unbundle Windows Media Player and publish more communications protocols. But it might not. In the interim, Microsoft has said it will deliver the court-ordered stripped-down version of Windows in Europe. That product, according to BetaNews, could be known as Windows XP RME (Reduced Media Edition). Sounds about as appealing as fat-free chocolate mousse. |
