Reports are propagating that Microsoft has bought browser maker Opera Software. According to at least one publication, however, Opera representatives say the rumors are untrue, just as the rumors about Google buying Opera that supposedly circulated last week were also unfounded. While some folks think it would be smart of Microsoft to grab the upstart multi-platform browser maker, we have to say we are hard-pressed to see why a company that is dedicated to supporting Internet Explorer on Windows only would make such a move.
