Microsoft Reaches for Lucky Seven
|
Podcast. Last week, I put Debby Fry Wilson, senior director for Windows Product Management, through some soft but uncomfortable questioning. |
I wanted to be the tough interviewer, but she had only been in this new role for about six weeks. Those Microsoft rascals. What a cunning strategy. Now if they had given me Steven Sinofsky, Windows bigwig, well, questions would have been different.
That friendly jibbing aside, Debbie showed style in her answers, and she is an important Microsoft executive. Part of her role is developing the messaging around Windows 7.
Microsoft Reaches for Lucky Seven from Watch Tips on Vimeo.
This video first appeared on eWEEK.com last week, but I'm reposting for those few readers (well, hopefully few) that don't go to both sites. I shot three videos as Microsoft's developer conference last week. The other two are on Office Web and Oslo.

Cool, a real zombie!
And I think I finally figured out what the touchscreen is good for: manipulating zombies.

I personally dont know how good PCW's view of the IT world is, however if Vista and indeed the windows platform was doing as well as Andre and other shillers claim, would they write articles such as this, and risk loosing their reader base?

If vista is so good, as some analysts & commenters say it is, why so much hype for windos 7? All this marketing (loaner laptops to bloggers; wink, wink) surrounding windos 7 is microsoft's way of freezing the market. We've seen likewise behavior before; VAPORWARE.
