At Long Last, Final Vista Hardware Specs Are Out

On May 18, Microsoft is set to unveil, at long last, the final hardware requirements for Windows Vista. eWEEK already has the gist: "Microsoft will also unveil of a set of minimum PC hardware specifications for systems being upgraded—some of which call for 1GHz processors and 1GB of memory allotments for certain machines—persons familiar with the plan said. " Machines that are tuned to run all of Vista's bells and whistles will be known as "Premium Ready PCs." Now, if we only knew what the final prices for the various Vista SKUs will be… Will the "premium" hardware branding correspond with "premium" Vista prices? Update: Here is Microsoft's press release, listing the official Vista specs and related "Get Ready" program.
