News Brief. Perhaps because it's summer, green computing has been a hot topic in the last couple of months. There are new green tools, too, and one for Vista. |
Today, James Senior, a Microsoft partner specialist, blogged about the new tool, Edison, which was released while I was on vacation.
Developed by Verdiem, Edison is supposed to help enterprises better manage the energy efficiency of PC clients. "Edison claims to save 30 percent of the energy normally consumed by your PC, which is a sizeable chunk of electricity and of course there are the financial benefits which will give you more money in your pocket every month," James writes.
