From Microsoft Watch: It's not the corporate-wide, large-scale RIF some were predicting. But Microsoft is cutting its U.S. sales team by 214 people, company officials confirmed on June 29. The cuts affect the enterprise partner and public sector groups, primarily, we hear. And, as Microsoft officials would like to point out, there are 66 newly created "customer-facing" positions being created today, one day before the end of the company's fiscal 2006.
