MS Outlook and Outlook Express are email clients widely used in the modern world to establish an official connection. There are also some problems. If something doesn’t work, Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express will display an error. A common mistake is “send or receive error”, which worries users. Disable or uninstall your antivirus program
Visit the antivirus manufacturer’s website for more suggestions, or turn off your antivirus software. Disable the router firewall. If you find that Outlook works fine after disabling your antivirus software, we strongly recommend that you uninstall it and then reinstall it using the erase tool.
Check Outlook settings
This Microsoft Outlook error usually occurs when there is an authentication issue when sending messages. Check your email client settings to see if username and password authentication is enabled on the outgoing email server. This is important when using our SMTP server. If you are using MS Outlook Express, you will find this option here in the menu: Tools -> Accounts -> Accounts -> Mail tab -> Properties -> Server tab -> My server requires authentication.
Also check your SMTP settings, port number, and SSL settings, and enable the My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication option.

- Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
Create a new Outlook profile and reconfigure your email client
- Go to Control Panel and click the Mail Option.
- Click Show Profiles.
- Click the Add button
- Enter a name for your profile.
- Outlook 2007 and later support Autodiscover. This will automatically set up your email account. Enter your name, email address and password. Outlook is trying to set up a profile. If that doesn’t work, go to the “Manually Configure Server Settings or Additional Server Types” section and continue.
Following the troubleshooting steps above will resolve Outlook error 0x800ccc80 – None of the authentication methods supported by your client and not supported by your server.
