Windows has a 260 character limit for path names. If the zip file is in a folder (including the desktop), the files contained in the zip file may exceed this limit and cannot be extracted.
Placing the zip file in the root directory of the system drive is the safest way to avoid this problem.
Step 1. First, rename the file to short version. This decreases the filename of the parent directory.
Step 2 – Copy the file and move it to the C: folder. The idea is to extract the file to the root folder to reduce the size of the path.
